Bible All Stars Reunion Tour: The Mockumentary
“If you’re only going to see one movie about the bible this year, you could probably do worse.”
– Ezekiel, MovieProphecies.com
“Bible All Stars Reunion Tour: The Mockumentary” is a comedy about the world’s most frequently cited without being read book. Using cutting-edge time travel technology, filmmaker Jonathan Blank conducted exclusive interviews with Bible all-stars including Moses, Noah, and Adam and Eve, alongside some of history’s sharpest wits such as Oscar Wilde, Mark Twain, and Bertrand Russell.
The result is a spiritually unauthorized deep dive into the best-selling book of all time – and answers to questions theologians have been avoiding for centuries:
• What was Noah’s workout routine for building an ark at 500?
• Why did Moses record eleven Commandments but release only ten?
• And how exactly do you go from two people to eight billion while keeping it family-friendly?
Navigating the intellectual Bermuda Triangle between philosophy, satire, and absurdism, “Bible All Stars Reunion Tour” is a feature-length mockumentary about sacred stories, AI, and humanity’s remarkable willingness to believe.
It turns out belief may be the most convincing special effect ever invented.

Director’s Statement
This film emerged from my fascination with beliefs and how easily they form, especially when they’re part of a story.
As one of the world’s oldest and most influential texts, the Bible was the perfect lens through which to explore belief. I was drawn to the parallels between how we engage with the Bible and how we consume modern media — and how, in both cases, we construct our own versions of truth.
I chose the faux documentary format because it is anchored in the language of reality, making it an ideal way to examine how easily credibility is manufactured. Like a court jester, I use comedy and satire to create space for the audience to question assumptions they might otherwise defend. Humor lowers resistance and makes room for doubt.
The use of AI is not only a production decision but a conceptual one. Performances from 22 human actors, live-action footage, and AI-generated material are interwoven so that the boundary between them is often indistinguishable. That ambiguity is intentional.
AI may appear to be a new and destabilizing force, but in many ways it’s an updated incarnation of processes that have existed for centuries. Religious narratives, historical accounts, and now AI-generated media all rely on the same mechanisms: story, structure, and trust in the source. The tools change; the dynamics of belief remain the same. Rather than replacing human creativity, AI functions here as a magnifying glass on perception itself.
Bible All Stars Reunion Tour questions how and why we accept things as true. I invite the audience to sit with that uncertainty and consider how much of what we call truth doesn’t depend on evidence at all.
It turns out belief may be the most convincing special effect we have.

Jonathan Blank ran away from home, joined the circus and learned the sound of one hand clapping. He has written, produced and directed several award-winning films you may not have seen, but his cat thinks you should have, including Sex, Drugs & Bicycles (”The cure for boring documentaries!“ -International Policy Digest), Collecting America (“Fascinating!” -NY Newsday), Sex, Drugs & Democracy (“A seductive argument.” -Roger Ebert), and Anarchy TV (“A wild, crazy and twisted comedy!” -KRON-TV).
